Feeling anxious, unhappy or overwhelmed by how you are feeling?
Perhaps you know why you feel how you do, or maybe you are uncertain as to what has brought you to this point?

At TPP our ethos is understanding mental health distress by understanding what has happened to you and how it affects you now. This can include, exploring your early life, relationships as well as your day to day life in the present. Whilst we are happy to use labels/diagnoses, as this is how we most often understand mental health difficulties within our society, we are also happy to think about developing an understanding of yours, or others distress, that does not always fit within our current diagnostic system (i.e. we know there are not always diagnostic labels that fit or capture exactly how you feel).

Whilst we are happy to meet with and support anyone feeling the above, we have a particular interest and expertise in supporting parents and families. The transition to parenthood can bring to the surface lots of feelings that we may or may not have expected. This can be the case for both mothers and fathers, and it doesn't have to be your first child for this to be the case. Get in touch to schedule an intial appointment where we can explore what is going on for you.

Maybe you already have a child and are finding their behaviour hard to manage, or perhaps want to understand your response to them. As above we can work with you to help develop an understanding of what is going on for the little people in your life, helping you to manage their behaviour and help you to improve your relationship. We can also offer your young people their own individual sessioins.

Is therapy online as effective?
Absolutely and there is increasing research demonstrating this. If you want to take a look, please see the below research eviidence.

That said not everyone wants to work remotely and we understand this. Where possible we can try our best to accomodate some face to face, if local to this, however this will come with additional costs incurred for room bookings.

You are also welcome to try an initial session or two remotely before committing to a therapy contract. See below for what a therapy contract is.
