  • How do I pay for sessions?
    Payment is to be made in advance. We will send you an invoice with the bank details for payment. We can set up a weekly, biweekly or monthly payment schedule to suit your needs.
  • How long will I need sessions for?
    This is variable and is dependent on each person or family. Sometimes we may only have a few sessions, but more often than not sessions occur over a long period.
  • How often will we meet?
    This can vary but most often it is weekly. For some people we meet every fortnight, and this is more common when therapy is coming to an end. This can be negotiated together to work out what works best for you.
  • Do you work on weekends?
    We do have a small number of sessions available on Saturday mornings. Please enquire if this would suit you better.
  • When are you currently offering out sessions?
    Currently we have slots available early in the day, between 7-10 and in the early evening between 5-7.
  • Is all therapy remote?
    Yes we provide a remote, online based service. We most commonly meet via video link.
  • Is it confidential and is my information secure?
    Firstly we take GDPR seriously and do everything we can to ensure your information is secure. We will only record brief electronic notes in line with GDPR requirements. We use an encrypted email service provider which is also GDPR compliant and any reports or information sent via email would also be password encrypted. It is a professional requirement for clinical psychologists to engage in regular supervision, as such it may be that clinical information about you is shared with another clinician. This would always be anonymised and any supervisors would not have access to any of your notes. Supervision is undertaken to ensure we carefully think about work with clients accessing our services. We will ask for your GP's details, We would contact your GP in the event that we became worried or concerned for your safety.
  • What if i need to cancel or reschedule?
    If you are unable to attend we ask that you email drlangley@thepsychologyproject.co.uk as soon as possible. No refunds are available for missed sessions or sessions cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the session. If you cancel within 48 hours of the appointment half of the fee is retained. This is because we incur the same costs if you do or do not attend, and without sufficient notice we are unable to offer that slot out to anyone else.
  • Is online therapy as effective as face to face?
    Absolutely. There is increasing evidence to demonstrate that it is just as effective, and in fact enables more people to access therapy. Please ask if you want any further details.
  • Do you take insurance payments?
    Yes we currently take BUPA clients.
